Phalada Agro Research Foundations Pvt Ltd is a company committed to the cause of organic agriculture, based in Bangalore, India.

    The company has three business divisions: Agri Inputs Division, Organic Cultivation & Marketing (OCM) division and Medicinal, Aromatic & Dye Plants (MADP Division). The group of 110 farmers covering 1000 acres that we represent grow the finest grades of coffee, spices, and the Medicinal, Aromatic and Dye plants. The groups are growing and will cover more than 500 farmers and 3000 acres in the next two years. These farmers have converted to organic cultivation under the guidance of a "not for profit trust" set up by us, by the name "Phaladaayi Foundation", who advise the farmers on organic and bio dynamic practices, monitor the process of conversion and get the farms certified.

    The plantations are located on the slopes of the Western Ghats of India, a region blessed with an incredible bio diversity and among the most fertile soils in the world. Out of a total of 15000 plant species that are found in India, nearly 27% or 4000 species are endemic to the Western Ghats. As a matter of fact most of the MADPs that we offer are from among the species that grow in the wild in this region. So what you get from us are those herbs grown in their original habitats - not something that is transplanted from another place.

    The species of MADPs that we grow are cultivated with great care under the supervision of the experts of Phaladaayi Foundation and undergo rigorous post harvest processing and quality control.

    All our farms are certified organic to be in conformity with EU 2092/91, NOP of USDA and NSOP (India) by SKAL International (Licence No. 025099).

    Phalada is one of the first Indian organisations to sign up the code of conduct for organic trade. We also train our farmers to practice social justice. For instance the children of all the farm workers have access to education, and all the farm workers have hygienic living conditions.

    For us at Phalada, Organic agriculture is not simply a method of producing crops without using synthetic inputs for a better price. It is for us a way of life, a passion, a mission and a commitment.

   The MADPs that we can presently supply to our valued customers are shown in the enclosed list. The list is growing by the day. Phalada also offers desiccated coconuts, grated dried coconuts, Dehydrated Mandarin orange flakes and fingers, and dried orange peels. We also undertake to grow and supply you plants that you want, provided of course these can grow in our farms. All the essential oils that are listed are produced in certified distilleries.
